Log Collection Setup

Follow these steps to set up log collection using a custom fluentd input filter and parse configuration.

Pre-requisites

This source configuration takes a raw fluentd config for input, parse, and formatting.

Configure a Custom Source

1. Install the BindPlane Log Agent on the host system.
2. Login to BindPlane and select the Logs tab.

3. Select the Sources tab.

4. In the top-right portion of the screen, click on the Add Source Configuration button

5. Choose Custom Input
6. Fill out the Custom Input log monitoring options.

FluentD input

Because this input plugin takes raw input it is very flexible in what you can configure. It can be especially useful importing existing or custom configurations if you're using Fluentd or td-agent today.
