Data Collection Setup
Metrics are collected via HPE iLO REST API.
Network Requirements
Port: 443 (TCP) for connection to the HPE iLO REST API.
Least Privileged User
The least-privileged iLO user account must be assigned the Login privilege.
Creating the LPU via the iLo GUI
- Log in to your HPE iLO 5 console as an administrator, then navigate to Administration -> User Administration, and select New.

- In the window that appears, enter your username and password information, and ensure the Login User Privilege is selected.
- Click Add User to save your settings.

Creating the LPU User Via CLI
To create your iLO user with "Login" User Privileges from the command-line interface:
Log in to your iLO as an administrator.
Run the following commands:
create /map1/accounts1 username=<username> password=<password>
Supported Versions
- HPE ProLiant Servers: Gen 8, 9, or 10 (Blade or Rack)
- iLO 4 with firmware 2.0+
- iLO 5 with firmware 1.20+ – required connection method for rack server environments.
